Here’s some of my demos from my WAC Prop Design class! The pufferfish mace - or shall I say - Mr. Puffy Fish, became a sort of unofficial class mascot by the class’ end. 😂
Big time bonus! My SUPER sweet, thoughtful, and awesome students did their own renditions of Mr. Puffy Fish, interpreted for their respective stories, as a thank you card for me at the wrapping-up of class. I was so moved by this 😭 They’re all so creative and talented, their renditions are so fun!
Finished painting up and detailing this little Squirtle last night on Twitch. I’m going to try and stream these Pokemon card paint sessions regularly on Mondays - they’re good practice for me, and hopefully fun for folks to come watch. I just wrapped up my first session of teaching Prop Design for Warrior Art Camp! I’m so super proud of all of my students, and I look forward to pursuing more teaching endeavors in the future! ☺️
Here are some stabs at my own homework 😂 that I put together as examples for my students to reference. I had an absolute obsession with the Redwall IP as a kid, and it still holds a near and dear place to me in my heart.
I went to Drawing Clubs Unite in Long Beach last night. It was a blast! Drew some nerdy things for my friend who I was there with, and contributed 2 kitty drawings to the art card tradeoff to receive 2 kitties in return. :3 Meow~
I contributed to The Superhero Project this past February! The Superhero Project’s mission is to use the power of art for healing, and to get artists all around the world to volunteer and help envision the superhero personas of children and teens impacted by serious illness, disability, and complex mental health/medical needs. I ended up creating 2 versions for my SHP entry - a poster in color, and a B&W line version to use as a coloring page.
I was very honored to take part in this project, and to use my illustration background to bring a little bit of joy to Desmond and his family’s life!
